You have had a long day exploring, working or perhaps doing nothing at all. You are maybe getting ready to dine or you have already. You are sitting on your balcony with a glass of wine looking down over the river. To your right is the old bridge and opposite are the 18th century ruined tanneries, both subtly lit. Above the tanneries is the beautiful St Nicholas church and to its left the remainder of Henri IV’s chateau.

Boats are gently listing, a few ducks are swimming around and there is laughter and chat coming from the terrace where restaurant diners are lingering over their meal and an armagnac. The wine is delicious, the ambience so relaxing, a peaceful nights sleep awaits.

The scene is set and you could be part of it, if you would like to know more please read on...
